Japanese Culture Club

Welcome to the Japanese Culture Club!

はじめまして (You can learn how to read this in Japanese 1!)

Welcome to the Japanese Culture Club! Our purpose and main goal is to further educate students about Japanese culture! Our club offers many volunteer opportunities in the Japanese American Community, many of which are hosted by the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC). There are several popular ones you may recognize such as the annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival where you get the chance to work at the booths and even march with the floats in the parade. We also participate in the annual Brotherhood Sisterhood Assembly (BSA) here at Abraham Lincoln High School through traditional and contemporary Japanese dances. We put great emphasis in participating in cultural activities such as the Japanese Tea Ceremony and a cultural exchange with Japanese students who come from varying regions of Japan. It becomes quite gratifying when  you accomplish beneficial volunteer milestones, but club members rekindle their interests in the club when they educate themselves more about a different ethical group.

We meet Wednesdays in Sano-Sensei's classroom, room 101, during lunch. See you there!

どうぞよろしく :D
