Abraham Lincoln High School has many courses within our Visual & Performing Arts Department that students can take in which they are able to exhibit their artistic abilities. In this section can be found some samples of students visual artwork.
Abstract Natural Objects
Forms found in nature can serve as inspiration for an abstract sculpture. Artists often use biology, botany, geography or astronomy as source material or inspiration. Students made an abstract sculpture based on an identifiable subject, but with few or no details. The goal is to make a sculpture that is interesting from all angles, with movement that leads the eye around the sculpture, it must be visually balanced, stand on its own, and be well constructed with or without surface texture.
