- I am thankful for Col. Powell for being the father some of us never had. For guiding us, for redirecting us when we strayed from the path of success and for believing in us. So many of us have the same sentiment for this amazing role model and I wanted to make sure that it was told to anyone willing to listen. As a side note, I acknowledge that there are several teachers at Lincoln that contributed to the success that I now experience in my adult life. If it wasnt for the caring adults at Lincoln (and my family), I dont know where I would be today. Thank you Lincoln, for molding us into productive citizens. Students : OverviewWhile academics is always important, pursuing educational opportunities outside of school time is an endeavor that all Lincoln students actively pursue and are encouraged to do as it is the only way to partake in the richest educational experience and student life that Lincoln and its community has to offer. Along with approximately 2,600 other students, every unique individual at Lincoln is able to join and participate in a wide variety of extracurricular clubs, student activities, and sports that align with their unique talents and interests, providing opportunities for them to continue to discover and develop themselves in new ways and old.
