ALHS PTSA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR

Help plan fundraising events/programs for PTSA (Lucky Share Cards, Sports Basement, etc.)
We currently have not had big events, but would like to implement some this year. If you have ideas, please help out!

HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE: THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR

Help set-Up tables, serve and clean up at events (teacher appreciation dinner, PTSA meetings, etc.). Order/or shop for food as needed (all items much be approved by PTSA and
receipts must be provided for reimbursement by Treasurer).

MEMBERSHIP TEAM: THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR

Helps promote PTSA membership and outreach to parents, teachers, and students. Keep track of membership dues, membership information using simple Excel spreadsheets. Send membership reports to 2nd District PTSA Member Chairperson. Bring membership application forms and distribute at General PTSA Monthly meetings and events.

NEWSLETTER- CHINESE AND SPANISH TRANSLATOR: MONTHLY/SCHOOL YEAR

Translate the monthly PTSA newsletter to Chinese and Spanish.

OPPORTUNITY RESOURCE FAIR (Job/Volunteer): ANNUALLY – SPRING SEMESTER

The Opportunity Resource/Job Faire is coordinated by the PTSA for the benefit of Lincoln High School students to explore summer opportunities in paid positions, internships, and volunteer positions. Students participating in the fair meet potential employers in an informal setting after school. We collaborate with the Lincoln College Career Center and Wellness Center Departments. Need parents to help expand potential employers and help at fair.

STAR BREAKFAST: ANNUALLY – SPRING SEMESTER

PTSA provides a healthy breakfast snack to all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors for each day of STAR testing. This successful program also includes students taking AP exams. Order and purchase snacks, coordinate delivery to school, sort food for delivery to exam rooms.
(If you have a minivan or truck this is very helpful.)
