- I am thankful for Col. Powell for being the father some of us never had. For guiding us, for redirecting us when we strayed from the path of success and for believing in us. So many of us have the same sentiment for this amazing role model and I wanted to make sure that it was told to anyone willing to listen. As a side note, I acknowledge that there are several teachers at Lincoln that contributed to the success that I now experience in my adult life. If it wasnt for the caring adults at Lincoln (and my family), I dont know where I would be today. Thank you Lincoln, for molding us into productive citizens.
