I am originally from Ohio; most of my family is still living in the Cleveland area.  I moved to Marin County last summer after living in Orange County for the past 10 years. I have been a teacher for the past 28 years in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California.  I feel very fortunate that I still love the teaching profession.  I enjoy coming to school and working with students.

I got married this summer and now go by Denise Gregor Coghlan.

I am very proud to say that in 2005, I was named one of five Orange County Teachers of the Year as well as a Semi-Finalist in the State Teachers of the Year Award.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and was in a buying program for one of the May Company stores in Ohio before becoming a teacher.

I have a strong background in technology and business.  I’ve taught various Marketing courses; Careers in Fashion,  E-Marketing, Retail Co-op and Internships as well as Microsoft Tools throughout my career in education.

I model my belief that education is a life long journey; continually striving to upgrade and improve my knowledge and skills in the subject areas that I teach.  I encourage my student to stay abreast of current trends in business and to understand the necessity for learning in our fast paced global economy.

 When I am not in school, I enjoy sailing on the Bay, going to Stinson Beach, hiking, biking, and snow skiing in Tahoe.
