Each student’s IEP determines the level/type of support needed, including support which may be necessary for school personnel.

Resources Specialist Program (RSP)

Students who participate in the general education program. Services these students may receive include:

• Consultations what the student’s teacher, parent, other staff and moniforing of student’s progress
• Study skills class

Inclusion (INC)

Students who participate in general education programs with one or more of the following:

Inclusion services may include:

• Direct support services from inclusion support
• Consultation to general education teachers
• Paraprofessional support

Special Day Classes (SDC)

Serevely Impaired (SI)

A self contained classroom focusing on life and vocational skills.

Students in the following eligibilities may have classes with SDC teacher and mainstreamed per IEP decisions. The SDC program follows the high school single subject model in which students change classes each period.

Emotionally Disturbed (ED)

Designated Instruction Services (DIS)

The purpose of these services is to allow students with disabilities eligible for Special Education to participate in their educational program to the highest extent possible.

Transition services and programs:

Services

To support and supplement trasition instruction and activities provided by classroom teacher, the District’s Transition Opportunity Program (TOP) facilities and coordinates transition services for students with an IEP who are between the ages 14 and 22 such as:

• Career exploration and preparation activities
• Job development and support
• Coordination of transition and employment services with community-based organization and services

Workability I Program

Funded by the California Department of Education, the program is an employment preparation program for all students with an IEP who are between the ages 14 and 22.

A District TOP specialist coordinates the program and provides career exploration and prepartation activities, locates work-experiences placements, provides support during the placement and student’s wages during the training period.

Lifetime Achievement Award are given for an outstanding graduating senior.

Extracurricular

Students participate in a variety of clubs and school sports.
