Class of 2018

Ladies and Gentlemen, grab your overly expensive suits and dresses and head over to the MARK HOPKINS HOTEL on

APRIL 21,2018 (of course it's on a Saturday. It sure as heck wouldn't be on a Friday!)

 March 19th-22nd

Price: $85 with ID (so bring it!), $90 without ID (if you "forgot" it), and $95 for guest (because come on, let's all have fun together)

April 2nd-4th (Disclaimer: price INCREASE coming up!)

Price: $90 with ID, $95 without ID, $100 for guest (ohhhh... that's $5 more expensive!! Save your wallet and buy the first week!)

Seniors, this is your last year for prom. And it's going to be "lit". And by lit I mean very low lit because nobody wants to see us "dance". And by dance I mean hop up and down and scream. That doesn't scream pretty and elegant to me.

Prom THEME: Masquerade Ball (but students cannot wear a mask. So really it's just a Ball).

Upcoming Events

March 26-30 Spring Break:  Alright gals and gurls and the testosterone filled humans out there, it's finna be SPRING BREAK!! You know what that means! NO SCHOOL! For a week! Chill, eat, hang, buy your prom stuff because that's coming up (remember?), sit, stare, run (wait... who would?), talk, don't talk, eat some more, sleep a whole lot, and really, this is your time to recharge before we go out and do incredible things throughout the school year! Like eat, chill, sleep a whole lot... Just relax because this week, concentrate all about YOU. Have fun and we'll see you on April 2nd.

April 3rd-10th CAST:  C.A.S.T: CAlifornia Science Test (because CST already stood for something and it's not the word 'cast' has a real meaning.) I'll be honest, my knowledge of this is limited as I just look at the calendar and see what's popping, but this says it's for 11th and 12th graders at 8:00 am. So I am assume as a class we collectively take this science test when it's convenient for our teachers? I have no clue but... This seems painful so good luck to all of you!

April 9-11th WASC Visit: So this is a pretty big thing. Like bigger than if Ed Sheeran came to our school to do a free performance. Because what do we get out of that? Meet and greet with Ed Sheeran and a free concert filled with irreplaceable memories? Not as important as the WASC visit! They are like the Olympic judges but for schools, not the olympics. (because what we are doing here at school doesn't get televised. That's the only difference. We work just as hard as the athletes do... right guys?)

April 13th Improv Show! Come and support drama or the improv club or whoever is in charge of this! All of their productions are a blast to attend so why would this one be any different? Come one and all! Small or large, young or old! Rich or poor! (but not too poor because i think there is an admission fee so... sorry?)

April 30th Wall of Fame Dinner: Unless you are on the wall of fame, you can't come. (actually, i have no clue because I have no information on it but the name so let's assume my information is correct. But if it's not, tell me because, again, i have no. clue. what's. going. on #notapleaforhelp).

April 21 PROM: Probably the most important event that will happen in your life. Yes, that includes your wedding day, the day your children will be born, your birthday, the day you graduate from either college or high school, your first paycheck, the day you get your first car, the day you fall in love. All of those things are unimportant compared to a day where you dress up in overpriced dresses and pat makeup on your face (I don't wear makeup so i'm not sure if you pat it or smear it or...?) or fit into your rented tux because ain't nobody paying for a full on tux to wear once or twice. Then, you and some friends will hope into a car, drive to get dinner or eat in and then go to Mark Hopkins and hop hop hop around mark because that is exactly what we do at prom and it's a social activity and as a society, we pressure you to go so therefore, you must go. Enjoy! (don't worry, there'll be people like me who find a nook and play cards or something. Join me and give into society norms!)

May is a mind bomb so I am not about to deal with that right now. Enjoy the April events!
