  • Remember To List The Colleges You Are Applying To - on your SAT/ACT registration BEFORE you take the test so they will receive your scores when they are released. SAT gives everyone 4 score reports for free, fee waiver users get 8 for free, if they are submitted on time. Otherwise, you will need to pay $9.50 per score report. DO NOT WAIT to see your scores before you have them sent, or you won't be able to send them for free. They will see the history of scores anyway, so just send them BEFORE the test date.
  • Senior Rides - Show off your fancy cars in the 2009 yearbook. Hurry, space is limited! Sign up with Michael Lee, Sheila Xiao, Tiffany Louie, or with Mr. Sylvester in Bungalow 8. Appointment times will be made then.
  • Calling All Seniors - Do you want your baby picture in the 2009 Yearbook? If so, submit your picture to Tiffany Louie, Sheila Xiao, Michael Lee, Justine Wong, Karen Ha, or Mr. Sylvester in Bungalow 8. One picture is $5, picture and quote in $6. All pictures will be returned. Hurry, space is limited!

  • FREE Youth Art Activities This Saturday - October 4th. Painting, circus performance and music workshops. 1:00 - 4:00 p. m. @ Red Poppy Art House (2698 Folsom St. @ 23rd St.); 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. @ Parque de los Niño's, 23rd and Folsom Sts. Jaz Sawyer's Drum Circle. Come enjoy this family-friendly FREE neighborhood arts extravaganza. Teens, children, families and friends are welcome.
  • Civic Pride Presents it's FREE Annual - "Knowledge is Power" Youth Leadership Forum and College, Career, Community Empowerment Faire on October 25, 2008, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Interactive panels, special guest speakers, youth-led activities, student and parent workshops, colleges and universities, internships and career opportunities, community resources, refreshments. This event is at Waterfront Plaza Hotel (Jack London Square) - 10 Washington St., Oakland, CA 94607.   • The Lincoln High School Mock Trial Team Will Meet - at lunch TODAY (12:00 noon) in Bungalow 14. All interested students should attend.
  • All Wellness Center Staff Will Be Off Site At A Meeting TODAY - so the Wellness Center will be closed. Sick students should go to the Deans' Office for a permit to leave. If you really need to talk to Wellness staff, please leave a note in the Deans' Office and we'll get back to you right away on Monday.
  • Free Events In San Francisco This Weekend - It the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival at Golden Gate Park and the International Dragon Boat Festival on Treasure Island all weekend long. For more information, check out the bulleting board in front of the main office. Also, don't miss the free screening of Hitchcock's Vertigo outdoors in Union Square.
  • Attention Freshmen - We had another productive Freshman Club meeting on October 1st at lunch in room 137. Sixteen homerooms were represented. They included: 2A, 2H, 2T, 2J, 2K, 2L, 2N, 2P, 2Q, 2R, 2S, 2T, 2U, 2V, 2Y and 2Z. We voted on t-shirt design. Stephanie Acedillo's design won. Class t-shirts should be on sale by the end of next week outside at the courtyard at lunch for $10. Do you want to help paint signs for spirit week? Meet Ms. Kamkar in the auditorium lobby after school on Monday, October 6 or Tuesday, October 7.
  • Need A Planner? - We have a few left. Come to room 21 C. They are $4.
  • Homecoming Tickets Will Be Sold Outside In The Courtyard - from Monday, October 6th to Thursday, October 9th for $20 for Lincoln students and $25 for guests.
  • Attention All Sophomores - We counted the votes and we are now the Super Sophomores! There will be future sophomore club meetings - so pay attention!
  • FREE Dance Celebration - Saturday, October 18th at City College of San Francisco new Wellness Center. Celebration if 4:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Enjoy hip-hop, tango, swing, Latin, ballroom and more!   • Attention Faculty & Staff - Yes, we show our spirit! Last Wednesday, October 1st, a Spirit Week(s) calendar of theme dress up days was placed in your box. Please encourage students to participate, too. Post that calendar in your classroom. On the day we have HR; HR officers will count the number of participants in the classroom and return a daily tally sheet to Mr. Kamkar's drawer to earn points for their class. So let's have fun with the kids. Join us outside at the courtyard during lunch for the Battle of the Classes lunchtime activities. Got Spirit?
  • Help Us Fundraise For The Washington, D.C. Trip - by volunteering at the Nike Women's Marathon. The marathon is Sunday, October 19th. The marathon raises money to fight leukemia and lymphoma. If you have some time to spare that morning please see me in room 21 C. Thanks!
  • Be In Fashion For The Bell Game! - Buy an ALHS zip-up hooded sweat jacket. They are $28 and can be purchased in room 21 C. All proceeds to the Class of 2009.
  • New Sub To Try - Jon Cano, #25224. Mr. Cano came in yesterday to get on our list. He's young, has subbed in Pacifica and is fairly new to the S.F. sub system. Interest is in Science/Biology but will sub any subject. See me for phone # if needed. Let's give him a try.
