  • Senior Flashback - There are a few spaces left for seniors to submit photos of memorable moments from the last four years to the yearbook. Bring them to room 214 or email them to alhsyearbook2008@gmail.com. The deadline is Wednesday, so get your pictures in!
  • Having Problems Understanding Your SAR for FAFSA - and/or your Cal Grant notification? Did you receive a financial aid award letter from a college and you don't know what it means or what the next step to take is? Assistance is available in the College/Career Center to help you with these new procedures. Come by room 123C 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
  • Yearbook Ads - There is still time to purchase an ad in the yearbook! Talk to Mr. Sylvester in room 214 or a yearbook staff member immediately to get more information. Get your ads or pictures in as soon as possible.
  • Congratulations - to Hannah Yan for winning the Health Idol GPA challenge!
  • A Big Thank You - goes to the participants in the Pi Day celebration last Friday, especially Stephen Flynn, Jun Xian Zhang and Brian Huang. And thank you, Mr. Kosoy, for helping.
  • AP English Testing TODAY - All students who wish to be considered for AP English next year need to be in the library after 7° for testing. We regret testing a second time. Any student who needs to make up the English Honors test should come also.
  • Mandatory Tobacco Education TODAY - for students cited for smoking. Meet Nurse Rainey in room 127 during lunch. She will tell and show you the real drag about smoking. Think about it. Ms. Rainey
  • Tomorrow In The Homeroom Boxes You Will Find - envelopes for a fundraiser we are going to try until July 31, 2008. If your family shops at Footlocker, Lady Footlocker, Kids Footlocker, or 1-800-Flowers you can help raise money for Lincoln High School. By having Footlocker scan the keychain cards that are included in the fundraising letters Lincoln will receive 5% of your purchase price. When using 1-800-Flowers and providing the School Code that is listed in the letter Lincoln will receive 8% of your purchase price. Homeroom teachers please distribute a letter to each student to bring home. Parents have been notified through PTSA Newsletter that this notice will be coming home to them. Faculty, please note there will be one envelope for each of you in your mailboxes as well.
  • "One World, One Dream" - to support 2008 Olympic Games in China and to welcome Olympic Fire Torch arriving in San Francisco on April 9th, the Chinese Club, the Academic Social Club, and Youth for Chinese Elderly Club jointly organized a fund-raising activity at Lincoln. Please come to the cafeteria during lunch starting today to donate money or just to sign your name to show your support. Every penny counts! Thank you.
  • Grab 3 Friends & Form A Team - for Lincoln Gladiators. Compete in fun games to win prizes and the right to be named Lincoln's Ultimate Gladiator. Applications are in rm. 225 and are due 3/21. Ms. Ziegler
  • Brotherhood/Sisterhood Evening Performance - will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20th. Tickets for the performance will be $10 for adults and $5 for students and alumni, $3 for Lincoln students with a student body card and free admission for faculty, staff and children 12 yrs. and under. Tickets will be sold at the door ONLY.
  • Brotherhood/Sisterhood T-Shirts & DVD's - are on sale and pre-sale orders are being collected now. T-shirts are $8 and DVD's are $10. If interested, please place your name on the list which is located in the main office.
  • Class of 2010 - Don't miss a great opportunity to be a part of an Academy. Go to room 227 to pick up an application for Finance or Information Technology.
  • AP Art History - There will be no placement test. Interested students may sign up in room 147. All are welcome.
  • UC Berkeley Visits Lincoln TODAY - during lunch in room 127. Did you apply to Berkeley? Are you thinking about applying there next year? Are you considering transferring to Berkeley from a community college? This is a chance to meet with current Berkeley student and to hear what they have to say about admission, programs, majors, competition, activities, campus life, and dorm life.
  • UC Santa Cruz Visits Lincoln On Friday, March 21st - during lunch in room 127. Did you apply to Santa Cruz? Are you thinking about applying there next year, or transferring there from a community college? Meet with a Lincoln graduate (Class of 2005) who now attends UC Santa Cruz. Hear about admissions, programs, majors, activities, dorm life, campus life, and life on the beach!
  • Need A Job Or Internship? - Then get one! Come check out job and internships in the College/Career Center - new positions are coming in every week.
  • Juniors: If You Will Be Applying To UC's In The Fall - you will need to do a personal statement as part of your application. Come to the UC Personal Statement workshop on Wednesday, March 19th in room 127. Get a head start on how to plan for this essay. Be ready to take notes and be punctual. See you there.
  • PACT College Tours Fieldtrip Deadline - to turn in permission slip is Wednesday, March 19th. Don't miss this FREE and FUN opportunity to go to 3 college campuses: San Jose State, Monterey Peninsula College, and Call State Monterey Bay. Breakfast, lunch, transportation and fun included. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors are encouraged to sign up for this trip on Monday, March 24th (spring break). See Ms. Zales for permission slip as soon as possible!
  • Do You Enjoy Card Games? - Now you can learn to play Bridge - the most exciting and challenging card game of all. Expert bridge players will teach and guide you. The first meeting of the new Lincoln Bridge Club will be in the cafeteria this Wednesday, March 19th, during 7° and after school until 5:00 p.m. FREE pizza will be served!
