- Yearbook Sneak Peek this Friday - The yearbook staff is doing something that we've never done before. At lunch on Friday, March 14 in Room 214, the yearbook staff will be unveiling three full pages from this year's book. Usually, the yearbook is top secret until it's sold to students in June, so come celebrate with us and get a sneak preview of what this year's book will look like. You may also stop by to purchase a book, submit baby pictures or buy adds.
- Get educated, get safe - any girls interested in a girls health group to learn about STIs, HIV and contraception stop by the Wellness Center, room 143 and talk to Ian. Ian Enriquez
- To Ms. Walenta and Mr. Aluk and the entire cast of Grease - You guys rock! Thanks for making me feel like a part of the team.
- The AP U.S. Government Placement Test - will be on Wednesday, March 12 during 7th period or after school. You must have submitted an application to take the test. See Ms. Zeigler in Room 225 with questions.
- Fellowship Club is Selling Easter Grams - for $3 each. The deadline to order is Tuesday, March 18th. Go to room 320 to order or go to any Fellowship Club member or officer.
- Better Understand Yourself & Others - This year's 10th and 11th graders sign up with your counselor now for psychology, a social studies elective. See Ms. Kaufmann in room 205 for details.
- Forensic League Reminder - Tuesday is our competition at Washington High School at 3:50p.m. ALL participants are to meet in room 303 on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
- AP U. S. History Class of 2010 - The placement test will be held on Tuesday after school in the library. You must have completed an application to take the test.
- Still Haven't Submitted Your FAFSA? - If you missed the March 2nd priority deadline you won't be able to get the Cal Grant, unless you will go to community college, BUT you should still apply online for FAFSA ASAP. Financial Aid is for first come, first served. Get help in the College/Career Center. www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Junior Females: - The Girl Source Program is offering a FREE intensive 10-week SAT prep series that will be taught by a certified SAT prep tutor! This opportunity is for low-income junior girls. The series is from April 3-June 5, prepping for the June 7 SAT. Applications DUE MARCH 20. Please see Ms. Zales in College Center for application and details. More info at www.girlsource.org.
- Volunteer Opportunity With Cameron House Youth Ministries - Looking for high school volunteers to serve as leaders to younger students for their summer programs: Cameron Ventures, Bilingual Summer Youth Program, and Solid Ground. - Aim High Summer Program - seeks teaching assistants to work with students and mater teachers over the summer (June 23rd - August 1st). - PACT College Tours Fieldtrip is coming - March 24th, 9th-11th graders are invited to check out some cool campuses for FREE during Spring Break. We'll even give you breakfasat and lunch! We will visit San Jose State, Monterey Peninsula College and CSU Monterey Bay. Don't miss this fun trip. Permission slips are available from Ms. Zales in 123C, no later than March 19. Space is limited, so chop, chop!
